Well done to the girls and boys who participated in Cumann na mBunscol Gaelic tournament in Mervue this week.

Our girls team won two of their matches but unfortunately lost out to a strong Roscahill side.

All of our girls and boys who took part represented their school with pride and passion- maith sibh!

Congratulations to Louis Corless and Jes Curran on winning Gold for Scoil Róis in the Cumann na mBunscol Under 13 competition in GAA Handball.

After reaching the final against Gaelscoil Ríada in their first ever tournament, they secured first place for Scoil Róis by scoring 2 sets to 1 in Áras Bóthar Na Trá on Monday May 13th.

They have now qualified for the county final to be held in Corrandulla on May 24th.

A big congratulations to our boys and girls from Second Class who received Holy Communion for the first time in Salthill Church at the weekend. The sun shone brightly on their special day and we were so proud of all of them.

Thank you to Ms Corcoran, Hannah and the wonderful school choir for all their hard work and for making the day very memorable . Thank you also to Fr Michael and Sr Breege for all their help.

The children from fourth class created beautiful puppets recently. These 'Positive Puppets' help remind us the importance of positivity and positive self talk for our wellbeing. ​

Rang 6 enjoyed taking part in the Salthill Knocknacarra GAA primary school blitz in the Prairie last week.
Great football skills were on display, despite the wet conditions!

4th Class are loving their swimming lessons! ​

Recently we enjoyed the final of our Basketball league between 'Memphis Grizzlies' & 'New York Knicks'. It was a thrilling game!

A big well done to all from 3rd, 4th , 5th & 6th class who took part & to our fantastic referee, Majella.

We hope everyone in our Scoil Róis community enjoys a very happy, safe and peaceful Easter break.

We are very proud that our school has retained our Green School Flag. It is our 13th time to retain our flag thanks to Mrs Forde and our very hardworking and enthusiastic 'Green Schools Committee'. Fergal Cushen, Environmental Education Officer with Galway City Council, was very impressed with their presentation on 'Global Citizenship, Food and Biodiversity' which they have been working on over the last 2 years.
