We wish all the Scoil Róis community a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas. School will close at 12 noon tomorrow. We look forward to welcoming you all back in the new year on Monday January 7th. Have a fantastic break everyone!❤  We had a great visit to Sharon Shannon (& her lovely dogs!) today with a special momento of her visit to Scoil Róis. Congrats to Izzy & Isabel on designing such a wonderful poster!   We were delighted to present a cheque for €1300, the proceeds from our Cake Sale, to COPE today. Thank you to all our very generous school community! It is great to support such a worthy local cause.  Fifth Class were busy this month taking care of fish from Atlantiquaria. They also presented their fact-filled projects on the topic and got to dissect squid in groups. A big thank you to Padraic & all from the Explorer's Education Programme for this very worthwhile and educational experience! There was great excitement in Scoil Róis when the CD cover competition winners were announced every day this week. The overall winner, whose picture will be on the cover of our school CD 'The Sound of Scoil Róis', was revealed today. Well done to Sura Awaja from Ms. Sheridan's Sixth Class. We can't wait when the cover is unveiled by Sharon Shannon at tomorrow's launch! Here are all the competition winners below!        Excitement is mounting for tomorrow's big day! Our very own CD 'The Sound of Scoil Róis' will be launched by a very special guest & extremely talented musician...Sharon Shannon! We look forward to a very memorable day.  We are so proud of our Under 11 Mini Olympic Handball Team who are through to the County Final after a fantastic display today. Well done girls! Thank you to Mrs. Breathnach & Mrs. Gaffney for all their great coaching.⚽️🏅   |
