We wish all the Scoil Róis community a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas. School will close at 12 noon tomorrow. We look forward to welcoming you all back in the new year on Monday January 8th. Have a fantastic break everyone!❤  Second Class wowed us today with their fantastic Nativity Christmas Play-"A Midwife Crisis." Congratulations to all the girls on a magnificent and highly entertaining show! A big thank you to Ms. Monaghan for all her great guidance throughout.  As we get ready to bid farewell to 2017, we also get ready to say farewell to our Deputy Principal, Maria McLoughlin. Maria has been a member of staff of Scoil Róis for over forty years and will retire at Christmas. Thank you for making such a huge contribution to our special school and for all your dedicated years of service. We will all miss you and wish you every blessing in the years ahead. ❤ Maria is pictured below with a presentation made by members of our Parent's Association.  First & Second Classes were delighted to partake in Gaelic Football Training with James from Arus Bothar na Tra. They really enjoyed learning the skills and playing together. Thank you so much to James for all his superb coaching! 👍👏⚽️   Well done to the boys & girls from Senior Infants who performed their Christmas Play Whoops a Daisy Angel so well! Thank you to Ms. Fahy & Ms. Gallagher for all their great help.  Junior Infants treated us to a fantastic Christmas Concert today! A big well done to all the girls & boys. Thank you to Ms. Corcoran & Ms. O'Donnell for all their great work.  Well done to Scoil Róis Orchestra and First Class for entertaining us today and helping the school community to get into the festive spirit! 👍🎅👏🎤 A big thank you to Ms. Raftery and all the teachers involved.     We are really looking forward to wearing our Christmas/winter jumpers tomorrow December 8th in Scoil Róis 🎅😀🙌 This will be in aid of the Galway Neonatal Unit in UCHG. Please support this special local cause by bringing in €2 tomorrow. Our donations will make a big difference ❤  Congratulations to fifth class who presented their marine life projects today. The girls also got the opportunity to dissect a squid as part of the programme! Here the budding marine scientists are pictured below!
