We are really enjoying our weekly Gaelic Football training sessions & our skills are very much improving! Thank you to our coach, James Molloy, from SKGAA for all his wondering coaching & expertise. Trócaire Game Changers is a competition for young people who want to change the world and believe games are a way to do this. Well done to our fifth class students who attended this Trócaire Game Changers event today in Salthill. What a worthwhile initiative & well done girls on your great efforts! We were very proud to be named the overall winners for the Best School Garden Award 2019! Thank you to Mrs. Ford & Mrs. McCarra for all their great work in helping achieve this prestigious award. Niamh McGauran & Michael Tynan, our 3rd class students, are pictured below accepting the award earlier this month.  Fifth class are very busy looking after their fish! Two baby mullets, a prawn, a hermit crab, an anemone, a sand goby and a cushion starfish have all taken up residence in Scoil Róis! Thank you to Galway Aquaruim and Explorers Education Programme for allowing us to mind their fish for a month.   We were proud to contribute a grand total of 144 gift boxes to the Team Hope 2019 Christmas Shoebox Appeal! Thank you to all our very generous children and school community.   |
