Congratulations to our Mini Olympic Handball Squad who reached the final today! Thanks to Mrs. Gaffney, Mrs. Breathnach and Mrs. McNamara for all their great support and training.  A big well done to all our pupils from 2nd to 6th class who took part in Team Hope's Christmas Shoe Box Appeal. Your generosity will mean so much to children who are less fortunate all over the world. 'It's in giving that we receive...' ❤     What a fantastic week we are having in Scoil Róis for science week! 🤓👩🔬👨🔬 We love promoting health and wellbeing in Scoil Róis! Fourth class got the opportunity to visit NUIG this week for the very enjoyable 'Healthy Heroes Day.' Is fearr an tsláinte ná na táinte! What a memorable day it was in Scoil Róis 😍 The Liam McCarthy cup arrived in all its glory, as well as Galway's three other cups won this year! The girls and boys wore the maroon and white with pride and sung our county anthem 'The fields of Athenry' as the silverware arrived after a 29 year wait. A big thank you to Salthill-Knocknacarra GAA for helping to make this special day happen.  It was an exciting day in fifth class today. Marine Biologist, Brendan, from Galway Atlantaquaria came to speak to us and gave us seven species of fish to take care of this month! 🐟👍🐠   |
