Alannah and Victoria represented Scoil Rois at the Tidy Town Awards. They were presented with the award for Best School Garden. Scoil Rois won this award for 2016. Well done to Mrs Forde and the Green School Committee.  On Wednesday, October 26th, Scoil Rois Parents' Association sponsored a fruit and vegetable tasting day. Pupils from all classes took turns to taste all kinds of fruit and vegetables. it was a great day. A big thank you to Ms. Heneghan who organised the day and to all the parents who gave so much of their time to help to prepare the fruit and veg. The day would not have been possible without you.             On Tuesday 25th of October excitement was brewing in the corridors and halls of Scoil Rois for our annual Cake Sale! It was a fantastic success. We raised 1,700 euro in total. What a difference this will make for our local charity COPE. We are so proud of all the boys and girls and want to extend our thanks to all staff and pupils involved.        A big well done to our superb Gaelic Football and Camogie players, who last Friday performed with skill, athleticism and style at the Inter-School GAA Blitz in Salthill Park. Here are some action shots from an exciting afternoon!                We were delighted to welcome back Physiotherapist, Karen Roberts, to our school this week. She spoke to us about the importance of having a good posture and gave us great tips on how to carry our school bags properly. Thank you Karen - we learned a lot!  We are really enjoying learning the skills of soccer and tennis every Wednesday and Friday this term.     |
