Fourth Class were busy learning about our rich heritage this week on their historic walk of Galway city!    Congratulations to our Sixth Class girls who made their Confirmation today. Our very own Football World Cup is underway during break times. 14 teams are participating for a place in the quarter final. Final will take place in June. Well done to all involved! Well done to our 5th class girls who presented their project 'Refugees in the Run' this week at Trocaire's Game Changers Competition in the Helix, Dublin. This was a national competition and our girls made the top ten. We are so proud of you all.  Evanna Nirish and Cathy Graham represented our Green Schools Committee last Thursday 9th May in Galway Bay Hotel to receive our 10th Green Flag. Mrs Mc Carra and Mrs Forde are also joined by Caitriona Cunningham of An Taisce in the photo.  Well done to our heroic Gaelic Football Team who played their hearts out today in the Cumann na mBunscoil in Renmore. We are so proud of your superb display & for representing Scoil Róis with class and determination. We look forward to cheering you on in Pearse Stadium & Croke Park in the future! We would like to extend a huge thank you to Conor McGauran & James Molloy for their great expertise & advice. Thank you also to all the parents who very kindly offered lifts to & from the competition. Scoil Róis Abú!  Our Fourth Class children are doing so well with their weekly swimming lessons. Well done all!  Congratulations to all our Scoil Róis competitors who did us proud today in Scór na nÓg at the Raheen Woods Hotel, Athenry. We came Third Place in the Ballad Group and First Place in figure dancing. Thank you to Mrs. Gaffney & Ms. McCole! What a great achievement for our first time competing!  Well done to all the boys & girls who participated in the heats for City Sports today. Thank you to James Molloy & all in the Arus Bóther na Trá for letting us use their great facilities. We look forward to competing in the City Sports in Dangan later on this term! |
